Nice, but wrong.
The numbers seem ok, but you have not made anough connections to the rest of the abilities of these ships.
According to your info, megathron and apoc should be nearly equally good at armortanking if you overlook teh apoc headstart in armor hitpoints for the sake of argument.
Noth have same slot layout after all, and megathron has same starting cap as Raven.
Sadly enough, we all know that a megathron can not run two large armor repairers for any amount of time whatsoever no matter how many cap relays and rechargers you dump on it. And most certinly not if it wants to be able to fire weapons as well.
That makes tanking:
Apoc> Raven> Megathron
Now, back to your plea to help shieldtanks.
What ships do use shieldtanking ?
Raven, Scorpion, Tempest, maybe typhoon and domininx.
Let's take Raven for example.
Even tho shieldtanking cannot match armortanking, a normally tank-fitted Raven will still outtank a normal tank-fitted megathron. Why ? Because it needs no cap to shoot with.
Same goes for tempest.
Now, one would expect firepower to suffer under tanking for shieldtanked ships as well as armortanked ships (with exception of the apoc, which can do everything as well).
After all, if you want that megathron to tank decently compared to that Raven, it means smaller guns or less guns.
Same goes for armageddon, typhoon (armortanked) and Dominix(armortanked).
To cut this ramble short: shieldtanks are per definition less effective then armortanks yes, but the other stats and uses of the ships that use shieldtanking balance that most effectively. With the only exception being the Apocalypse, which can currently fit full firepower and full tank without consessions either way !~
It's the only armortanker to actually get an advantage out of the armortanking edge over shieldtanking overall.
In short, no, this solutin would add more tanking power to the Raven most of all, which it does not need since it's currently the second strongest tank and strongest damage dealer combination around.
I agree it's a good solution for minmatar ships tho. But something would have to be done to take the advantage back from Raven and Scorpion.
